Bring Your Paws to Santa Claus

Ready for Kitty Cuddles or to give a Dog a Home?

  • All animals are spayed or neutered.

  • All pets are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped.

  • We interview you to insure a good match and then bring the foster pet to your home for a visit with family members and other pets in the household.

  • Foster Pet Outreach requires a 24 hour waiting period before placing a pet in a new home.

  • Our adoption fee is $175. Click on the "Adoption Process" link to the left to learn more.

  • We limit our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois. All foster homes are volunteers: travel time and expenses from their own pockets are too much to ask. Out of State adoptions are just Out of the Question!

Where do our foster animals come from? Most come to us as strays. Caring people have found them, and sheltered them until we are able to take them into our group. Some come to us when their owners have become seriously ill, or have died. Lastly, a few have been surrendered by their owners because of life situations. Because we are a small group of volunteers, and have chosen to give a quality of individual care, we can only accept a few animals each month.

Who are our foster homes? Wonderful people who have opened their homes and hearts. To learn more about fostering, click here.

Where do our foster pets end up? In loving homes. Every animal is kept in a foster home until they are adopted. Animals are only euthanized if there is an untreatable medical or mental problem. Most animals receive multiple applications. Every applicant is carefully considered, with our goal being to match the right family to the right pet. Our foster families have worked hard to learn personalities, and are a wonderful tool for you to learn if this pet will bring you a lifetime of joy.
