Arf, arf – My name is Toffee and I’m an 8-pound, 10-month-old Yorkie boy. Right now I’m asleep in my fuzzy little bed behind my foster mom’s computer chair. I follow her around the house because she often picks me up and snuggles me and tells me what a good boy I am – I LOVE that. I get to play with foster mom’s other dogs. One of them is teaching me to play with a ball. She’s got some cats, too. I like them, but they ignore me, except for this one who is bigger than I am who hisses at me. I heard her tell somebody that adjectives to describe me would include merry, loveable, affectionate, and sweet. My owners were an elderly couple (one in a wheelchair) who had to give me up because they could not manage me as a puppy. Foster mom says we are working on this thing called “house training.” She takes me outside to potty several times a day and gives me a treat when we come in. It’s all new to me, but I’m trying very hard. Foster mom says it’s all right for me to say that if you like Yorkies, you’ll really love me!
