Hi! My name is Sassy and I'm an 11 year old Border Collie mix and weigh 55 lbs. I have a sad story to tell you. I was adopted out as a 9 week old puppy and went to a loving home but both of my parents passed away and I was returned to FPO. I was then adopted out last year by a wonderful lady who took great care of me but unfortunately, she had to return me due to financial difficulties. I am now in a loving foster home waiting for my permanent home. Even though I am now 11 years old, I still have a lot of life left in me. I like to roam around in the back yard, go on walks, and trot up and down the hallway. Foster Mom says that I love to sit right next to her, but I can also be independent as well! I love to get belly rubs and will stare at her until she gives in. I am crate-trained and housebroken. Being a mature dog brings many advantages such as never chewing up anything like puppies do! I am in a home with 2 other dogs and do well with them but Foster Mom thinks my ideal home would be as an only dog or with another submissive dog as I can be grouchy sometimes! I am also in a home with 3 cats and do well with them although I do like to chase them at times. Foster Mom says that I have always had a fenced yard so I would like to have one in my next home. I do take daily thyroid medicine but it is inexpensive and I don't mind taking it at all. I have also had a recent dental cleaning. My favorite thing in the world is to be completely covered up with a blanket. Foster Mom thinks I am so silly! Could you find room in your home for a nice old gal like me?
