Howdy!  My name is Raina, and I'm a Great Pyrenees mix.  Foster mom thinks I'm part Border Collie - she says I look like an oversized, gangly BC, and am incredibly smart.  It only took me 2 days to learn how to catch a treat, and I'm learning the rules that go with living in a house super-fast!  I lived in a house before, but nobody taught me any manners, and my owner had to give me up when he moved.  Now, I know how to behave, and am learning something new every day.  I know how to sit and stay (mostly...sometimes I need a reminder), stay off the furniture, and am learning how to lay down and walk nicely on a leash.  Everyone who meets me says I'm beautiful, friendly, alert and calm.  I get along great with the other dog who lives here, and I really like people.  I go potty outside, and have mastered how to ring a bell to let foster mom know when I have to go.  I'm still a puppy, so I like to chew on stuff (but I ignore shoes, so that's good), so I hope there are nylabones at my forever home.  I like taking walks and playing - I'm an active dog, and like to stay busy...and then take long naps.  I also bark when I think someone's at the door, but I'm not obnoxious about it.  I stay in my crate when foster mom's at work, and I sleep on a dog bed overnight, and I like it just fine.  I am also good with cats.  Foster mom says I'd probably be okay in a house with older kids, but might knock little ones down because I forget how big and strong I am, and am naturally exuberant.  I don't know what that last part means, because I'm a dog.  Will you teach me?  I'm just sure I could learn! I also require a 6 foot fenced yard to keep me safe as I am able to jump over 4 foot fences.
