Named Woody from being found in the woods
with his sibling, this happy pup is adjusting well to city life and living
in a house. He very much enjoys playing with the other dogs and cats in his
foster home. Woody is learning
his manners and gaining confidence daily. This is a great age for him to
begin obedience training.
Woody would enjoy a calm home, without very
young children. He naturally bonds to one person. He would love to bond with
a single owner. While he's a fun, nice dog who enjoys playing fetch, he's
just not going to enjoy the activity of children.
Did you know black dogs are often
the last to be adopted? Shelters know this as “Black Dog Syndrome”.
Perhaps people think black dogs are too ordinary looking. Whatever the
reason, we
know we’ll have to work very hard to find a home for them. What we also know
is that these dogs are really “Black Pearls”. Besides their gorgeous
shiny black fur, these beauties have wonderful personalities. Please take a
second look at this little gem, and think about him in the setting of your
home. Won't he make a beautiful addition?

Foster Pet Outreach prefers to limit
our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois
so we can keep our promise to return the pet to our foster care program if
the adoption is not successful. Out of State adoptions are out of the
question.
