Tyler

Tyler is a male Lab/border collie mix about 1 yr and 50 lbs. Very gentle with kids, cats, and other dogs. Tyler is house broke and is being crate trained. He rides very well in a car as well. Tyler was a little fearful when we first got him. He had some separation issues and was not interested in playing. Just a few short weeks later, he is a happy go lucky dog that is coming out of his shell more and more everyday. Tyler has very good manners - he sits and waits at the door for you to go first. Tyler stays out of the kitchen when we prepare food and eat and never begs. He is pretty good on a leash and getting better everyday.  Tyler loves to play fetch with a ball and a Frisbee and going to the dog-park. Tyler is very fast and enjoys running to burn up some energy. Tyler would do best with a family that likes to get out a lot and take him along. We just started training with him and he is very smart and is catching on quickly.

Foster Pet Outreach prefers to limit our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois so we can keep our promise to return the pet to our foster care program if the adoption is not successful. Out of State adoptions are out of the question. Please contact us via email for further information.

Tyler will do well with an average adopting family. An average adopter has some dog experience, is willing to learn more about dogs, and understands how to establish rules and guidelines in a calm manner.
