Meet Twinkie! (aka Goldie)

Twinkie is a 7 month old Lab mix. Twinkies owner passed away leaving her without a loving owner. As sweet as her namesake, Twinkie is a real lover girl. She was used to having a dog as a companion but is adjusting well to living with a cat. She has a gentle spirit...but will spring into alert mode with a deep bark to help protect her pack. Twinkie is being crate trained even though she is house trained. She has impressed her foster parents with her willingness to please. Twinkie is being trained by her foster parents for manners and basic obedience. She likes to pull on the walk so she is using a gentle leader (head collar) and has already shown much improvement after a few short walks. Twinkie is currently 57 lbs but her Foster Parents think she could stand to gain a few pounds and expect her to top out around 70 lbs as an adult. She may not be a pure bred but she displays all of the great characteristics that us lab lovers have come to adore. She will need a lot of exercise to help burn off some of that puppy energy and keep her healthy and happy. She will make someone a great family pet. Fill out an adoption form today!!!!

Twinkie Must Have formal Obedience training. While training at home is valuable, Twinkie needs lots of positive experiences, and introduction to a wide variety of life to help form her into a good animal citizen.
