Adopting a
Companion from Foster Pet Outreach
They're Healthy!
All cats in our care are examined by a
veterinarian, vaccinated, tested and treated for worms, fleas, ticks and ear mites,
plus spayed or neutered.
They've had their shots!
Cats receive their
FVRCP combo vaccine to protect against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis,
Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia, rabies and Feline Leukemia booster.
They want to meet you! We interview prospective adopters to
ensure a good match. Once we have an idea of which cat will fit best in
your family, we'll bring the foster cat to your home for a visit with
family members and other pets in the household. Foster Pet Outreach then requires a 24 hour
waiting period before placing a cat in a new home.
They're such a good deal! Our adoption fee is $175.

What we expect from
you:
We hope that enough thought and
care is put into each adoption that this will be a forever home. Please
understand that moving to a new home is especially stressful for a cat.
It can take several weeks, or even months for a cat to feel truly
at home in your house. If you
realize that the match is not quite perfect, we expect that the animal
will be returned to Foster Pet Outreach. Hopefully, this decision will
be final soon after the adoption, but we will take an animal back at any
point in their life.
We require cats be
kept indoors and remain up to date on all vaccinations during the life
of the pet.
We limit our adoptions to an area within
approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois. We are all volunteers, with
jobs and families. Each adoption takes hours of
our time, and travel expenses from our own pockets.
Out of State
adoptions are just Out of the Question!
Each of these animals has
already suffered the loss of at least one home. Foster Pet
Outreach is committed to seeing that the next home will be permanent. To
help our volunteers do this, we ask you to fill out an adoption
application. This does not guarantee you will be able to adopt this pet,
but rather, helps us to match the correct pet with the proper family.
